Fall Booties...Yes, Please
There are two things that I never thought I would wear until I started blogging. One, is wearing flat brown boots (here). They sound boring, yet this boot has become a closet staple and how cute are they with fringe? They are the perfect transition to fall and are super comfy for weekend outings all year round. Two, is wearing colored rain boots (here). I used to think they were only cute on kids jumping in puddles. However, living in Atlanta, I have discovered they are the ultimate accessory. The colors just make them more fun and fashionable for grown ups to splash in the puddles.
Being that we only have a few weeks left of summer, I have already made my fall wish list. Have you started shopping for fall yet?
Fall Bootie Wish List:
Kate Spade Moto Booties
Sam Edelman Fringe Booties
Hunter Pink Rain Boots
Sigerson Morrison Fringe Flat Boots
Jeffrey Campbell Shoeties
Rag & Bone Classic Ankle Booties

Weather or Not
Wearing: Target Hat, similar styles // Ann Taylor Vest, sold out, similar options here and here // Gap Sweater, similar cozy options here // Classic white button down shirt // Shopbop jeans // Zara Black Booties, similar options here // Tory Burch Bag // Warby Parker Sunglasses // Kendra Scott Naomi Ring
If weather permits, I like to take photos of several outfits and schedule my blog posts for the week. This can be quite a challenge at times since I take my own photos with my camera, a tripod and a remote. I will do a "behind the scenes" post one day... it's not as glamorous as it looks and it's pretty funny with all the looks I get from strangers. You wonder what goes through their minds when they see me smiling and posing all by myself. My biggest hurdle has always been the weather though. I lost one camera last year when the wind knocked over my tripod and shattered the lens.
Wouldn't you know when I headed out for a planned photo shoot yesterday, it also happened to be the coldest day of winter. Not how I planned the start of a new blogging year, but I will hang on to my dream of having a personal photographer follow me around one day.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Checking it Twice
Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. ~ Coco Chanel
It is Christmas eve eve! This is my favorite time of the year and I'm so happy and excited to spend time with my family!
This holiday season, B and I have been doing a lot of traveling, so I am all about dressing for comfort. Is there anything more winter than buffalo plaid? Cozy sweaters and hot chocolate also scream winter, but I seem to find myself drawn to plaid. Growing up in the snow, I would pile on layers of plaid, stripes, beanies and scarves. I was determined to keep warm throwing snow balls. Today, "pattern mixing" is pretty fashionable if done correctly...I had no idea back then I was so hip and I'm still not 100% sure, so I follow my gut. If it feels right to you, then go for it. If you are questioning it, just don't.
Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas, my friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! xo

Meet Me at J.Jill
Tartan Shirt: J.Jill c/o // Quilted Vest: J.Jill c/o, now on sale // Skinny jeans: Loft // Scarf and Beanie: Urban Outfitters // Knee high socks: Francesca's, similar // Boots: Tory Burch, old, similar TB boots on sale // Bag: Coach, thrifted
Do you ever find that you may not shop at certain stores because you have judge them to be for a certain kind of woman which may not be you? Let me explain; I have heard of J.Jill before because they have been around for many years, but in my mind they were known for sweaters. Living in Florida most of my life, I felt this brand did not fit my lifestyle and never gave them a chance. Well, this has all changed now. I was recently invited to preview the new J.Jill concept store in the Avalon Shopping Mall in Alpharetta, GA. I was pleasantly surprised to find that J.Jill has a new relaxed approach to style for women on the go. Not only will you find their beautiful sweaters (which I live in now), but they also have soft, wrinkle-free knit clothing that you will want to live in!
From left to right: Soft Crinkle Dress // Cotton Blend Turtleneck and Knit Skirt // Anika Sweater Dress
This store is set up in sections according styles, colors and accessories including a wonderful petite section that makes it easy for you to put together comfy outfits from head-to-toe. Trust me when I say you will want to stay a while in their fabulous dressing rooms and try on a few styles like I did! J.Jill has really given thought about the shopping experience as a whole and their clothes are perfect for the everyday gal!
A huge thank you goes out to the wonderful J.Jill crew for the warm welcome, the gifts and the personal tour of your lovely store. I am now officially a J.Jill girl.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

In December, you can't help feeling happy when surrounded by twinkling lights, holiday decorations, and the smell of live Christmas trees.
Then this happens...you're stressed because you don't know what to buy a certain loved one, you have gone over budget and haven't crossed everyone off your list, you have a party to go to and have nothing to wear, you're due for an expensive hair color appointment and your nail breaks after getting a fresh manicure.
Okay, maybe this just happens to me. But somehow during this crazy busy time of the year, I still manage to find a sense of joy and wonderful inspiration from you guys. Thank you lovely readers, for your love and support since the beginning of GlamVolution. I have met so many lovely people and received tremendous opportunities that I never expected when I first started blogging. I can't wait to see what the new year will bring!

All Wrapped Up in Coats
If last winter was any indication of what mother nature has in store for us this year, your coat is going to be your best accessory. Since our move from Florida to Atlanta, I have been coveting a few coats, including these vintage coats that make my heart flutter.
The Long Double Breasted Coat
Wearing: This gorgeous vintage coat belonged to my mom in-law when she lived in Chicago over 25 years ago, you can find similar looks here // J.Crew top, old // Loft jeans, old // Clutch bag, thrifted
The Overcoat
Wearing: Vintage overcoat, thrifted for $15! Similar overcoat styles // AG Jeans // BR Leopard bag, old // J.Crew Scarf, JC outlet last year, but I found a huge selection of plaid scarves here!
The Pea Coat
Wearing: Vintage swing coat (also known as a pea coat) thrifted for only $15 // AG skinny jeans // Louis Vuitton bag // a bunch of cute Pom Pom beanie options here.
My favorite coat in the world went up in flames in a house fire when I was only 6 years old. It was a long emerald green coat with a faux fur collar that resembled a squirrel's tail. I would wear it all winter long and I may have slept in it. Until this day, I still wonder if my coat was really "accidentally" burned...
I am currently in search of a vintage, long, camel color coat and maybe, just maybe, I'll come across an emerald green coat with a squirrel tail. Just saying.

Believe in Love

Identical plaid coat here, I removed the bow // J.Crew Hat // Tory Burch Bag // Franco Sarto Boots // Warby Parker Sunglasses // Old Navy Sweater, sold out, options
Do you ever walk in to a local boutique and just fall in love with it? Something about the atmosphere, charming displays and scented candles that welcome you to pull up a chair and stay a while, or at least try on some stuff.
When B and I were exploring Atlanta this past weekend, we discovered Dakota J's boutique where I fell madly in love with this plaid coat. I'm a sucker for girlie styles and the full skirt, removable fur collar and over sized fabric covered buttons made me want to twirl, skip and dance. Because it's a little chilly in the A right now, you will have to remind me to share that image with you later.
If you are ever in the Atlanta area, you will want to spend a day walking through these charming boutiques located right in heart of Virginia Highlands. They have unique and beautiful things that would make great Christmas gifts...hint, hint.
Thanks so much for reading!
