Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. ~ Coco Chanel
It is Christmas eve eve! This is my favorite time of the year and I'm so happy and excited to spend time with my family!
This holiday season, B and I have been doing a lot of traveling, so I am all about dressing for comfort. Is there anything more winter than buffalo plaid? Cozy sweaters and hot chocolate also scream winter, but I seem to find myself drawn to plaid. Growing up in the snow, I would pile on layers of plaid, stripes, beanies and scarves. I was determined to keep warm throwing snow balls. Today, "pattern mixing" is pretty fashionable if done correctly...I had no idea back then I was so hip and I'm still not 100% sure, so I follow my gut. If it feels right to you, then go for it. If you are questioning it, just don't.
Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas, my friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! xo

Monica, I am loving Buffalo plaid this weekend and I wish I was near a store that sold that gorgeous vest I am seeing lately on blogosphere. I just got my first red buffalo shirt and I am thisclose to buying a beautiful scarf like yours. Both outfits are wonderful - on the casual side, festive and totally put together!

Sweet little jacket and Nike kicks, but I'm dying with the fresh simplicity of your first outfit. Those boots are just .... WONDERFUL! I tried a similar pair of cavalry boots and they cut me way too high, so it was a no go with my short legs. Sigh. I think Santa might have come through with another pair, but we shall see. Frankly, I haven't been that good this year!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Monica ... enjoy!
