Tulle Be or Not To Be

Oh my gosh...you guys.  I found this really cute tulle skirt at a thrift store for only $10 with the original tags still on it.  It's every girls dream to dress up like a princess and twirl around in a tulle skirt! Isn't it? The only thing is that I'm not really sure how to style it.  I've seen fellow blogger's wearing tulle skirts effortlessly and it made me really want one.  I may have literally squealed with joy when I found this one.  I will give it another go with a pair of pumps instead of booties, what do you think? Until then, it will be lovingly stored away right next to my princess tiara.

All Wrapped Up in Coats

If last winter was any indication of what mother nature has in store for us this year, your coat is going to be your best accessory.  Since our move from Florida to Atlanta, I have been coveting a few coats, including these vintage coats that make my heart flutter. 

The Long Double Breasted Coat

The Overcoat

The Pea Coat

My favorite coat in the world went up in flames in a house fire when I was only 6 years old. It was a long emerald green coat with a faux fur collar that resembled a squirrel's tail. I would wear it all winter long and I may have slept in it. Until this day, I still wonder if my coat was really "accidentally" burned...

I am currently in search of a vintage, long, camel color coat and maybe, just maybe, I'll come across an emerald green coat with a squirrel tail. Just saying.

Previously Loved

It's officially that annoying time of the year when rain meets sunshine. When you need sunglasses and an umbrella within a 30 minute photo shoot. When the rain stops and the sun peeks out and just for a moment, you think it's going to be a great day. Then suddenly your hair does this funky, curly, out of control thing after spending 20 minutes straightening it with a flat iron.  

But none of that bothers me today. You know why? Because I am over the moon in my previously loved Anthropologie dress. And since I am going to use the term previously loved a lot in my post today, I will give you my definition:

Previously loved (Verb):  a gently worn article of clothing that someone loved so much they bought it and for whatever reason is now being sold at a consignment store, yard sale or thrift store for someone else to steal at a fraction of the original price.  Also, I made this up, but you get the idea.

It's a hit or miss when shopping at consignment stores, but the thrill of the hunt makes my heart skip a beat when I find a treasure like this.
