This gorgeous coat has been in my family for over 30 years. It belongs to my mom, which she purchased and wore in Chicago as the secretary for the editor of the Chicago Tribune. When my My Mom and Dad relocated to Florida, the coat was retired in my closet. Yes, my closet. I loved it so much, almost as much as my mom did. The fact that it was my moms and the history behind it made it too nostalgic to give away. So, it sat in my Florida closet for about 20 years until now. I brought it with me when we relocated to Atlanta and I get the pleasure of introducing it back into the world! Thanks Mom, you can wear it anytime when you're in Atlanta. I love you!
What I'm wearing: Coat: vintage // Sweater: J.Crew, old // Jeans: Loft, summer // Shoes: the pumps are Enzo, Nordstrom Rack and ballerina flats are Sam Edelman // Bag: vintage

Another stunning look - vibrant blue coat & all the accessories...I'd like to meet your Mom and see what else she had in that closet in Chicago!!! AND, I'd like to have access to that Vintage thrift store you frequent - you buy the most amazing pieces and wear them like a true model....Ms. Colette

Lovely coat. You look so cosmopolitan with the nude pumps and striped top. There is nothing like having a vintage piece from your mother. My mom handed down a floral dress from the 70s that she used to wear and a garnet and opal ring that I absolutely loved when I was a girl. It amazes me that the dress is so on trend 40 years later. I enjoyed reading your post. I plan to follow you to read more.
