Houndstooth and Lace

Happy 2014! Wishing you all a year full of beautiful memories, health, love and lots of laughter. My future daughter in-law, Rebecca,  has been my beautiful and gracious model this week, since I have been under the weather.  This is what she wore to a casual dinner and drinks on New Year's eve with the family. I thought it was such a pretty combination of two classic fabrics,  that I ran out the door after her with my camera to capture her look for my blog…ummm, welcome to the family Rebecca!  We are very happy to have you in our lives!

Bridget Bardot glam inspiration

We are feeling the chill in Florida this weekend. It's a cozy day for staying in with my coffee and experimenting with my newly found love; Polyvore.  As I was hunting for inspiration from glam icons of yesterday, I came across this stunning photo of Bridgette Bardot.

Her grace and her charm were captured so lovely, along with her really cool fashion sense. I tried to recreate a similar look with todays trends with some of my favorite designers on Polyvore. Let me know what you think and who inspires your style! Stay warm and happy shopping!
