Endless Possibilities with Warby Parker ~ Beacon Collection

Today, I am partnering up with Warby Parker in their launch of the Beacon Collection. This limited edition collection that is being released was inspired by impromptu, can’t-duplicate-them all-nighters, when having no plans brings endless possibilities. The cool vintage-inspired design of their newest line of frames will make you want to own a pair for every occasion. Whether it's late night dates, rooftop sunrises, or everything else in between!

To set the scene, Photographer Petra Collins, captured these fun and sweetly private moments as she joined the Warby Parker team through downtown Manhattan's Doyers Street.

The Beacon Collection is designed to fit our fun and individual personalities and lifestyles. With so many incredible choices of frames, it's almost impossible to choose just one! Since I am more into classic and retro style sunglasses, the Nancy (model is wearing them in lemon) speaks to me the most. For my prescription frames, I'm loving the McKee in Moonstone.

So,

What does

one million pairs

look like?

With your help, Warby Parker has distributed over one million pairs of glasses to people in need.

The whole story begins with you.

For every pair purchased, a pair is distributed to someone in need.

Here is the scoop, when you buy a pair of Warby Parker glasses, they tally up the number of glasses sold monthly and make a donation to their nonprofit partners, which covers the cost of sourcing that number of glasses. These nonprofits train men and women in developing countries to give basic eye exams and sell glasses to their communities at affordable prices. Click here to find out more.

I just happened to be in New York this week visiting my daughter when I made an impromptu visit to the Warby Parker store located in SOHO. If you are lucky enough to live in a city where they have a store, be sure you to put this on your must experience list!

I was greeted by tall walls covered with frames and library-style rolling ladders. Their smart and lovely product specialist, Ashley, helped me choose frames that were best suited for the shape of my face.  She had me try on the Karlie Kloss collection,  she then tried them on for me, laughed with me and made me feel incredibly special until we found the perfect pair! There is also a photo booth in the store to complete this fun shopping experience! My daughter (in the last photo) is wearing the Finch eyeglasses in Violet Magnolia.

If you are not able to get to a Warby Parker store, you can still enjoy the Warby Parker experience with their HOME TRY-ON PROGRAM.  Just go online and choose 5 frames that you would like to try on and they will ship them to you for free.  Purchase the ones that you love and they send them to you right away!  It's that easy. Click here for more info on this program.

Here are a few more styles that I am slightly obsessed with:

Although this post was sponsored by Warby Parker, all opinions are my own.

  10. They didn't take care of me, Monica. I wrote a great review for them and they did absolutely nothing. The good thing about the experience is that I learned from my mistake.

  11. Awe, I'm sorry Glenda. As a fairly new blogger, personally I feel that if a well known brand that I believe in invites me to be a part of their new product launch, a store opening, or a special sale/event, I will post about it. If they share my post and/or my blog name in their social media conversations with their followers, that is huge for me, and is all I that I can expect from them for that kind of exposure. I benefit from having worked on collaborations with these brand names and this has brought me new opportunities with other well known brands. Sort of building my resume and developing good relationships with brands. I guess because my blog is fairly new, this is more important to me right now. It depends on what brand it is and if I believe in it.

The beauty about blogging is that we can pick and choose which opportunities work best for us and which do not. I have turned down a few opportunities that have offered compensation and/or free products for review, because it was a product that I could not endorse or did not fit the esthetics of my blog or my own personal taste.

Anyway, I love going to your blog and from your last post, it looks like you have some great opportunities coming your way! Cant wait to read what you will be up to next! Take care! xo
