The Charm of Georgia's Vineyards

If you are a wine enthusiast like me, beautiful fall weather is perfect for exploring vineyards and wineries. The grapes are harvested through the end of October in Georgia, before the cold sets in damaging the crops.  This past weekend, B and I went on a wine tasting tour with our wine club to three vineyards and wineries in north Georgia for wine tastings, lunch and a just a great time with friends in the country.

Elegant private tasting rooms made you forget you were in Georgia and made you feel as though you were in France or Italy.  Spectacular cheese and charcuterie platters were delicately selected to pair with our wines at the Montaluce Winery.

Moving on from the elegance at Montaluce Winery, we stopped at Wolf Mountain Vineyard and the Cavender Creek Winery where we were surrounded by country charm and these little guys...

We sipped on wine overlooking fabulous vineyards soaking in the country charm. I don't have much to say about my outfit in this post, except that I started out with a denim jacket and a pretty scarf over my dress and boots.  However, by the end of the first stop, temps were already heating up and off they went.

Thanks so much for reading!

  12. Oh yeah! More wineries to go visit! I've been to Wolf Creek, but not the other two. I would suggest trying out Yonah Mountain Vineyards next time you are in the area. Amazing wine and the family that owns and runs the place is the best! Thanks for joining Celebrate Southern link up this week my dear! I hope to see you back again on Tuesday! Happy Halloween!
