In the South, we wear Boots

The minute we moved to our new home in Georgia, I knew I wanted a pair of cowboy  boots. Everyone wears them all year round here.  You'll see the locals wearing flashy rhinestones, rugged western and embroidered details on their boots.  Coming from Florida, where we wear flip flops year round, I knew I had to step up my game. It wasn't long before I found this girly pair of cowboy boots with my name on them in a local boutique.  The feminine details of the flowers and swallows captured my heart. Once I slipped them on, I knew I was home.

The funny thing is that when I travel to New York, which is often to visit my daughter,  I don't ever pack my cowboy boots, or God forbid, my flip flops. I pack my chic black leather booties or flats. My flip flops come out only when I visit Florida, but my cowboy  boots stay here. Am I programmed to dress  like the locals? Am I afraid of standing out? Nah, not at all. As a fashion blogger,  I find it fun to change my style and try different trends accordingly. You can always find a way to shine among the locals by adding your own personal touch to your style.
