ATL Locals: Vineyard Delight

Sautee-Nacoochee Vineyard
The tank room in the Habersham Winery...
the oak barrel room...
the bottling line...
the tasting room...

This weekend my hubby and I were invited to join a wine club.  My first inclination is to say no to joining clubs, but since I do enjoy good wine, I felt intrigued.  First meeting on the club's schedule; a ride on a chartered bus to three local vineyards for an afternoon of wine tasting. A girl simply can not turn this opportunity down!

One of the most delightful vineyards we visited was the Habersham Winery in Helen, Ga., It's the  oldest winery in Georgia.  We had a tour of the tank room, the oak barrel room, the bottling line and then we were escorted to a tasting room.

We ended our magical tour at the Sautee-Nacoochee Vineyards, which is nestled in historic Nacoochee Valley, North Georgia.  Good wine and good company makes for a great weekend! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend too!

  1. Welcome back!! Your wine club seems just right for you, hubby and the new Roswell experience! Your descriptions of the Vineyards and the shops and deightful short trips in Roswell, and surrounding areas, make it much too inviting to resist! Good to have you blogging again!
