How I Keep My Legs Healthy

I have a little secret that terrifies me. Varicose veins run in my family.

Nobody likes to talk about varicose veins or ugly spider veins.  The fact is that they are thought to be hereditary, or are caused by pregnancy, obesity, age and prolonged standing.  I just know they are very unsightly and can be very painful. My mom has varicose veins, so I know first hand how painful they can be.  I am a girly girl who loves to wear dresses and it would kill me to have to deal with this. So when the folks at SIGVARIS asked if I would give their INSIGNIA graduated compression tights a try,  I thought..oh gosh, I must be getting old, sounds like something my mom would wear. I can't begin to tell you how wrong I was! I learned that these functional tights and knee socks are not just for the old, but for women of all ages who want to look and feel their best.

I do a lot of traveling,  so that means a lot of my time is spent sitting in airplanes or driving long hours to Florida to see my family. I also spend a lot of time sitting in from of my computer and the circulation keeps my legs energized when I wear these. The tights and the socks are a little heavier than normal hosiery and they are also pricier, but if you are on your feet all day or share some of my concerns, it is a great investment for keeping your legs healthy.  Plus, how cute are these diamond pattern tights? Now when I travel, I wear these compression knee socks under my boots and nobody knows my little secret, but you.

  3. I've got vein issues as well. Maybe I should give these a try....even though I have no love for tights! The diamond pattern is absolutely gorgeous!

  4. Hello beautiful Monica! Thanks for sharing I will definitively buy a pair of those. Varicose veins runs in my family and I now have some spider veins and I believe prevention is the key. I travel a lot for work too so wearing cute looking compression stocking would be the way to go. I have read about them before (compression stocking) but didn't like the ones I have seen but those you are wearing are super cute. Thanks for sharing my friend and you look beautiful in that flowered dress, leather jacket and boots. Take care! xoxo, Jeannette
