Protein Tropical Smoothie Recipe

One of my favorite protein smoothies is this mango, banana and pineapple smoothie.  It fills me up and gives me tons of energy after a morning workout.

Here is what you will need for 2 people:

1/2 cup frozen mango (or 1 fresh mango cubed)
1 banana
a handful of frozen pineapple
1 cup of  fresh kale
1/2 cup of fresh spinach
1 cup of almond milk
1 cup of Greek plain or vanilla flavored yogurt

Optional: 2 teaspoons of flax seed oil

Mix all ingredients in the blender for  couple of minutes until creamy and smooth.  I prefer to use frozen fruit for making smoothies because it's already cut and keeps fresh longer.  So easy and so good for you!

As a side note, Our Nordstrom Gift Card Giveaway is still going on! 10. Oh Monica! Thank you for your care and attention to my 'illness' / 'condition' ! You are so nice! I am feeling better with this one because I am managing it better, too. Just think in a few weeks I will have all of this chemo out of my body again and on to bigger and better things (radiation and herceptin) but I am past the worst and it is only getting better after this. ♥

  13. There is this one really fancy article of clothing that my mom saw in Nordstroms that was exactly 115 dollars. Knowing that we couldn't afford it, my mom put it back on the rack with a heartbreaking look on her face. I know my mom does so much for me that I would do anything to make her smile.
