I am a true believer that we should live our lives surrounded by beautiful things that make us happy and bring a smile to our face. A special collection that you hold dear to your heart, or family keepsakes that were passed down from generations, should be gently incorporated into our everyday lives to be enjoyed and not put away in a drawer.
Mom and I have collected vintage compacts, perfume bottles and vintage rhinestone jewelry over the years. When I visited mom this past weekend, I must have spent most of my time at her makeup table obsessing over her glamorous collection of things that were mixed in with her modern everyday makeup. I love the nostalgia that I felt while applying my makeup and being surrounded by timeless beauty.

I agree with this philosophy of living. I live with all men and sometimes it is a struggle to have a space of beauty. I try to keep the house lovely, but sometimes it feels like a losing battle. Lovely images.
