As I decorate each room of our new home, I find myself incorporating my personality and style by surrounding myself with things that inspire me, make me smile and have meaning. Things that I buy with my hubby on our travels are the best! I used to believe that decorating your home entailed everything matchy-matchy; the sofa matches the chairs, the pillows had to match the curtains and the artwork…SNOOZE. No more of the "Rooms to Go" look. The older I get, the wiser and the more refined my taste has become.
I find that small personal touches add warmth to your home and displays your personality. My hubby bought me this sweet tiny ballerina print for me at an art fest.
Okay, not your typical decor, BUT, these Stuart Weitzman booties are AMAZING. I found them at Nordstrom Rack for 62% off the original price!!! They are like a work of art and deserve their own space...until I start wearing them.
My latest addition to our family is this dress form that I had to have. I was elated to find it on Amazon. I used to sew, but now I just seem to shop. I am obsessed with Project Runway and wanted "to make it work" in my office. Maybe it will inspire me to start sewing again...
The pot of pink geraniums was painted by my daughter about 9 years ago. I will always treasure how proud she was coming home from school with it in her little hands.
Cozy corner for putting on my shoes or flipping through my favorite catalogues...
Travel, Charm, Love, Create, and Sparkle is my mantra. One of my favorite prints created by SS Printshop.
Every girl deserves a room of her own. This is my happy place. Do you have a favorite place in your home that inspires you?
